Description
North Island Magic...
Happy Canada Day and what a morning for Noctilucent Clouds !! Wow...
Very visible from 11pm last night and they lasted until 1:30am !! Typically for sunset NLC's you ge maybe 45 minutes in our area
I packed up and went home grabbed my other camera and lenses and went up about 900ft up a mountain. I arrived by 2:15am and the NLC's EXPLODED and lasted until 3:30am when the fog rolled in.
Usually I don't like the fog, However... I was doing some scouting around for locations above Port McNeill and found a nice spot with a great view looking North.
The fog rolled in, The Noctilucent clouds became more vivid and swirling across the sky.
Basically an all nighter for NLC's and that doesn't happen often here.
Everything I hoped for finally came together.
